answers for counting numbers

Introduction to counting numbers:

A number is defined as a numerical thing, which is used for measuring and counting. It is also called as numeral. The procedure of numerical operation involves one or more numerical as input and generate its relevant numerical output. This operation includes arithmetic function such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and exponentiation.

There are many types of numbers are used in arithmetic operation. Few of them as follows,

  • Natural numbers

  • Integers

  • Rational numbers

  • Real numbers

  • Complex numbers

  • Computable numbers

  • Prime number

Counting Numbers:

     Counting number is a positive integer with countable of one, two, three, and so on. Sometimes it includes the number zero (0) in the list of counting numbers. Therefore, it is also called as Natural number. The symbol of natural number is ‘N’. Some case it will call skip count because of every count must be done by skipping.

General Rules for finding answers for counting numbers:

    Counting numbers include some general rules. Let take ‘B’ is counting number then it follows

  • Add ‘B’ to the earlier number
  • Skipping and counting each further number by ‘B’.

Note: Here ‘B’ may be a number or symbol or object

Examples for counting numbers with answers:

Examples for counting numbers with answers are given below:

Q 1:  Counting downwards from number 15 to 2 with numbers:

Answers:

  N = (15, 14, 13, 12, 11, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2)

Q 2:  How many heart symbols are there in following set (♥, ♥, ♥, ♥, ♥, ♥)

Answers:

     There are 6 heart symbols in the set

Q 3:  Counting the number from 12 to 20 by 4’s

Answers:

Thus, the count by 4’s may be adding number 4 to the earlier number (Rule1)

So Start from 12 = 12+4, 12+4+4.

                         N = (12,16, 20)

Q 4 : Counting number from 33 to 73 by 5’s

Answers:

Here counting number is 5. Therefore, you add 5 with starting number and so on.

Starting number is 33 = 33+5, 33+5+5,..

                                N = (33, 38, 43, 48, 53, 58, 63, 68, 73)

Note: If the starting number is 0, then all number ends with 0 or 5.

Q 5 : How many prime numbers are there in 20 to 50

Answers:

Prime numbers in 20 to 50 = (23, 29, 31, 37, 41, 43, 47, 49)

     Therefore, total prime numbers are 8.
